On This Date in 1994: TLC singer Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes sets fire to the Atlanta mansion of her boyfriend, pro football star Andre Rison.

The Almanac Advises for June 9: "When decorating a home, it's important that couples see eye to eye when it comes to choosing the design scheme. It's quite common to find disagreement about home decor choices. Even if that is the case, both sides should come to a consensus before performing major overhauls on a house."
