Who actually believes that 'Papa Joe' isn't in this for the money. He has pushed and controlled both his daughters' lives for the fame and fortune. He still controls their lives. They wouldn't know how to function if he didn't tell them how to. You can tell he is a control freak and their mother, she hasn't got a clue. Where has she been for the last 24 to 24 years. She looks and acts like she's on drugs all the time. She needed to be there for her daughters. There is a strange relationship between the girls and their dad. It's creepy. It's like he doesn't want any other guys to be with them.

Im a father 41 yrs old not a fan of jessicas music or the youngest just stumbled across this article i must say jessica simpson seems like a good girl i think her father did a great job with his daughters i think all the weoman who say the dad is doing whatever is wrong i have a young daughter toddler age well 5 and i can tell you im sure he lkoves his daughters more than life as i do mine so all of you saying negative i think the girls who dont have a father like britney loose the most although its not her fault as a father i feel fathers and daughters will always share a speacil bond .

Who really knows for sure what goes on behind closed doors? I will agree about one thing though, the realationship between Joe and his daughters does seem REALLY creepy. Maybe he's not sipping on Pina Coladas but I think that mom probably is......

a man of his background (baptist preacher) should know better then to act like he does. why in the world would ANYONE put their FIRST YEAR OF MARRIAGE out there for the all the world to see if not for the money? jessica and nick had plenty, but SOMEBODY HAD TO HAVE MORE. since then he's been the one pimping them out. i've been against parents as managers for years. this is why. something is wrong with this family. when a girl gets married, she should let her husband be the one to help take care of her. daddy needs to be at home taking care of his wife and/or any other kids. methinks that "papa joe" has SERIOUS issues with letting go. we haven't had the same "spouse vs in law" with joe and pete b/c he learned his lesson the first time and became more covert about it. lord knows what he's gonna do to that grandkid.....

so girls without a father loose the most when they don't have a dad, perhaps the dad is a deadbeat. Quite frankly, my dad wasn't around when I needed him. I am graduating with my Master in Science this year all due to my single mother. I was better off without him, as he didnt' provide love or support. I am far away from a loosey goosey, I don't do drugs, nor have random sex.
