On This Date in 1966: Following Pete Townshend's injury in a minor accident, European radio stations mistakenly announce the death of Who frontman Roger Daltrey.The Almanac Advises for June 11: "Despite the notion behind gloomy, romanticized statements such as 'Hope I die before I get old,' today's youth are often oblivious of their own mortality and behave as if they will be forever young."
