On This Date in 1992: Texas law-enforcement officials call for a ban on Ice-T's song 'Cop Killer,' performed with his metal group Body Count. Sales of the self-titled album containing the controversial track increase after the ban is proposed.The Almanac Advises for June 13: "One thing that parents understand early on is that children are susceptible to the concept of 'forbidden fruit.' If you tell a child she can't have something or that something is bad for her, it may result in her wanting it even more."
