Bono Defends Radiohead Against Comments by U2's Manager

Bono has responded to comments U2 manager Paul McGuinness made about Radiohead earlier this month. The iconic singer says that he disagrees with his manager's suggestion that 'In Rainbows' backfired when Thom Yorke and his bandmates released their 2007 recording on a pay-what-you-like basis as a download.

Calling Radiohead "courageous and imaginative in trying to figure out some new relationship with their audience," in a letter to be published Wednesday in the music weekly NME, Bono added, "Such imagination and courage are in short supply right now."

The U2 frontman goes on to describe Radiohead as "a sacred talent" and says "we feel blessed to be around at the same time."
