What's That Song in the Heineken Beertender Commercial?

'Forever,' by Walter Meego

Pairing Walter Meego's 'Forever' with the Heineken "Beertender" proves that you need just a few things to create a great bar: beer (check) and tunes (check). With Heineken's new "mini keg" and the help of the '80s-influenced 'Forever,' the Dutch brewery concocts a "chew bar," a "garage bar" and a "barnacle bar." What? You don't know what those are? Well, neither do we, but, really, what does it matter? Remember the rule: All you need is booze and tunes.

'Forever,' off Walter Meego's debut full length release, 'Voyager,' has also been featured in a recent episode of ABC's hit comedy series 'Ugly Betty.' Walter Meego -- not a he but are actually musicians Justin Sconza and Colin Yarck -- told Spinner that they "never really thought about [being featured in a commercial or TV show]." Despite that, they are really pleased with the placement, adding, "It's fun."

The pair teamed up in 2004 to give life to Sconza's alter ego, the fictitious Mr. Meego, which took the musical form of an electro-dance/indie-rock-influenced project. After transplanting themselves to Los Angeles, these Chicago-bred boys took their tunes to England to have the finishing touches put on their debut album by producers Nils Patel (Daft Punk) and Sam Bell (R.E.M.).
