Tickle Me Pink bassist Johnny Schou (pictured third from the left) was found dead at his Colorado home Tuesday morning, the same day his band's debut album was released, according to Tickle Me Pink's label, Wind-Up Records. He was 22. The band was planning to celebrate the release of 'Madeline' Tuesday with an in-store appearance in Denver. "Further information regarding the band's plans, and dates that have been previously announced, will be forthcoming in due time," a statement from Wind-Up read.
The cause of death is currently unknown.

Yeah, and what am I supposed to be upset about here?

You two are pathetic. macb4me, you may at least find it unfortunate that a life has been lost, and cenobitewrestler, you are ignorant on such a profound level that I have only experienced such a caliber once before. You follow a certain group of artists (the majority of whom I find to be talentless) and carelessly trash everything else in your path. You do not deserve to comment on this article, let alone slam the poor kid. May you rot in your own musical hell.

Who cares what they sound like/what bands you like... The fact is, these guys were doing something worthwhile, something they wanted to and dreamed of doing (and I'm willing to be the first two post writers are probably still trying to get a girl to look at them--- let alone working on their lives) and the poor kid dies at 22 on they're release date? That's pretty tragic if you ask me, regardless of musical tastes, and if you have nothing better to do than to call someone "gay" for not listening to your music (Like Limp Bizkit... ps, I'd love to say sooo many things about that, but it's toooo easy) than you're just a pathetic waste of space, man.

hey cenobite...."black sabbath (only with ozzy)"? um how about no...dio > ozzy. i love how you named a few alright bands, and a ton of really shitty bands. thanks for leaving out the 2 greatest bands of all time, rush and iron maiden. because they most certainly do not deserve to be lumped in with that shitty list.

Right on Cenobitewrestler, the bands you named are great and the shit that is filling the airways sucks ass. i've bought some pop albums, and listened or liked only 3 or 4 songs, there is not a single exsisting system of a down song i don't like, metallica are becomeing sell outs, but hey, they deserve it. they deserve all the attencion they get. Weezer is a classic band that has great messages. and KoRn,megadeth, alice in chains, STP,AC/DC, Guns n roses, and Nirvana are also in my favorites of all time. (I believe you forgot rush, iron maiden, avenged sevenfold, gob, lamb of god, reel big fish, and the sex pistols.) and to those of you who think ceno should die, listen to yourselves, it's an opinion, not arson.

cenobitewrestler: the following bands on your list in fact blow:
bon jovi, AC/DC, manson, offspring, korn, limp bizkit, the clash too - highly overrated.

cenobitewrestler, who gives if a band goes below another like Tickle Me Pink? It comes and goes. Crap like Bon Jovi went way over other crap like disco and you don't hear the people from the 70's complaining, do you? So why don't you just get over it and find something else to listen to instead of the same thing again and again.

My guess is you didn't hear the album, or if you did, you instantly thought they were run of the mill bands. I personally thought this was a reoccuring tragedy that a band just getting their break due gets their life taken from them when they get it, and I'm surely sad it happened to a member of Tickle Me Pink. Now, I'm questioning hte future of this band, and how they might go on without him.
Well, Madeline was a dynamic heartfelt album. Perhaps, this will bring a little something beautiful to the next album.

how selfish.

I really liked the song and am sad for Tickle Me Pink. When the band should be celebrating their debut album, they are mourning the death of a friend. My thoughts are with you.

I know of them, but don't remember their songs off the top of my head, regardless, what a damn shame! This kid was 22 and his debut album was hitting the stores the same day of this death, could it get any worse for his family and friends? RIP
Tammyat 7-04-2008
