Tickle Me Pink bassist Johnny Schou (pictured third from the left) was found dead at his Colorado home Tuesday morning, the same day his band's debut album was released, according to Tickle Me Pink's label, Wind-Up Records. He was 22.

The band was planning to celebrate the release of 'Madeline' Tuesday with an in-store appearance in Denver. "Further information regarding the band's plans, and dates that have been previously announced, will be forthcoming in due time," a statement from Wind-Up read.

The cause of death is currently unknown.

some people are terrible.
if you died, would you want
people to be talking about how
they don't give a fuck that you died?
if you don't care for the person's music,
and you don't care about their life,
why the hell are you commenting this?
it doesn't make you look tougher.
it just makes me people think that you're a bitch.

i love this band and i feel terribly sorry for their loss.

Once upon a time, there was a musical genius named, Kurt Cobain. He had a beautiful, talented lyric-writer of a wife, Courtney Love; however, she could never catch the knack of composing music. Therefore, she dated, married, affilliated with super-songwriters. Mr. Cobain obviously wrote the music for one of the greatest rock albums ever, "Live Through This." Hole's major label debut was ironically released the week after the lead singer's husband/collaborator was found dead of an aparrent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head (and three times the amount of heroin that killed Joplin in his system).

There is no publicity like death. Everything happens for a reason. This album will now get attention; whereas, it may not have if we all "lived through this."

It's great to see how much life means nothing to you people... No one cares that a young man is dead because you didn't like the music he made... I'm not a fan of the music myself, but I would never make light of his death!

Regardless of the "who's cool in music" lists everybody keeps adding to....why not focus on the fact that a 22 year old lost his life by whatever means happened. (Sheri had it right)

Now I also have to add that the music industry flows in a certain way. Once a "style" of music becomes popular....the record labels/radio stations flood the breath out of it. Cenobite is stating about the the bands ( as are some others on here) that they probably grew up with admiring. in 20 years these 22 year olds will most likely make their own lists .

Geez cenobite and all the rest of you, all those bands like AC/DC and all the rest of them you mention are old men or dead now. Even the likes of Alice In Chains have been around close on twenty years. Why would kids want to listen to a bunch of old farts? Bet you lot though your parents music was out of date when you were young too even though it was probably what influenced the people YOU were listening to. I'm from the Ramones era and I still love 'em but it was thirty bloody years ago. Give today's up and coming musicians a chance. This is a very sad thing for a new young band and for everyone around them.

Age 22 cause of death unknown. Well apparently he wasn't shot or stabbed, would have said so. At that age in his private home, no doubt in my mind that more than likely it was an overdose of drugs and alcohol.
