On This Date in 1976: 'Afternoon Delight,' by Starland Vocal band, shoots to the No. 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart.The Almanac Advises for July 10: "You can do so much more than just spend your lunch hour at your desk eating a sandwich. Put your afternoon work break to good purpose by participating in a quick and fun activity such as exercise. A little physical exertion can buoy your mood for the remainder of the workday."
