On This Date in 1981: Harry Chapin, whose '70s hits include 'Cat's in the Cradle' and 'Taxi,' dies in an automobile accident in Jericho, N.Y.The Almanac Advises for July 16: "Being a cab driver in a big city is considered one of the more dangerous jobs a person can take. Not only are cabbies prone to auto mishaps, they can also become the victims of robberies."
