On This Date in 1966: Bobby Fuller, frontman of the Bobby Fuller Four, who had a Top 10 hit single in early 1966 with 'I Fought the Law,' is found dead in his car near his Los Angeles home. Though he died under mysterious circumstances, his death is ruled a suicide.The Almanac Advises for July 18: "'Suicide by cop' is a phenomenon whereby a person deliberately acts in a threatening way in front of law-enforcement officers in order to provoke being killed by the police."
