    Potent Quotables: Wayne = Worship?

"Listening to Lil Wayne is like picking up a Bible." --Lil Wayne

We don't want to speak for God, but with lyrics like this, we're gonna have to say we'd beg to differ.

    Aw, wayne! Not you, too.

Celebrities, if you are reading, please listen: do not under any circumstance try to compare yourself, good or bad, or any piece of Christianity. You will never score brownie points with anybody. If you say that owning your album is like picking up a Bible, what an we say for those who don't own it? That their anti-hip-hop?

Please tell me that in some respect this quote was taken out of context.

responding to p0l0d0n comment that wayne was an underground rapper and somehow clawed his way to the top. im sorry but that is bs, lil wayne joined cash money (master P) in 1997 at the age of 17. whether or not he is a good rapper, he never was and never will be underground.

i like lil wayne he's iight. personally i dont think he's the best rapper alive, however he is probably at this time the most marketable. and people didnt rap on "A Milli" because lil wayne did. they did it because the beat is infectious and is simple to spit over. well thats what i think.

Personally, after taking a look at his lyrics, I think he's just like many of the cardboard rappers. If it's satire or not, I'm really uncertain..but it sounds as though he is what all his songs are. I've found other rappers with better material.
Then again, he's there making the big bucks, and I'm just a college Sophomore who isn't too fond of his genre of rap.
