Alicia Keys Sports Obama, Kanye to Rap for Him + More

According to our sources, Barack Obama is leading John McCain in the polls by nine percent. While we wouldn't presume to know the intricacies behind the Illinois senator's lead, we can account for a recent increase in activity on his behalf in the wonderful world of music. From Kanye West to Melissa Etheridge, artists have been touting Obama's campaign and, as in the case of Alicia Keys, even wearing him. The latest ...- This year, those attending the Democratic Convention will be treated to performances from Kanye West, Wyclef Jean and N.E.R.D. -- a far more youth-oriented lineup than 2004's bill that included Patti LaBelle, John Mellencamp and Carole King, among others.
- Melissa Etheridge, who joined the "Vote for Change" initiative last spring, recently told Rolling Stone of backing Barack Obama, "[It is] with trepidation and great hope [that] I throw him my support. You have to believe not just in the man but in human spirit."
- Alicia Keys rocked a Barack T-shirt during a London benefit to raise money for the Keep a Child Alive foundation, which helps to combat AIDS in Africa.
- In Powder Springs, Georgia, Obama named-checked Lil Wayne during a stay-in-school speech. "You are probably not that good a rapper," he said. "Maybe you are the next Lil' Wayne, but probably not, in which case you need to stay in school."
- Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello recently offered his support of Barack Obama saying, "If America elects a black president it will be a different country ... a step definitely in the right direction."

ps: dont correct mii spelling cuz i noe its wrong ya did dat to other people i dont need da same bullcrao bak jaja im so mean.
wow.. i wonder how now one sees the right wing media *including AOL * controlling info... of course they are going to tell you that Kanye West, lil Wayne and etc. are voting for Obama. All the more for people to say duh black people/rappers/ liberals love Obama. I suggest to all these nay-sayers research your own news and look at the people you consider stars and see who they are voting for. I'm tired of seeing this race/you're a liberal card played.
The fact is Obama is popular because he is about a change * desperately needed* from the old ways of government that got us into the lovely situation we are in, not cause of his race.
SO that also means HE'S POPULAR BECAUSE PEOPLE AGREE WITH HIM.
And if you still want to say he's the media's darling pick up this week's News week or google the article " Say cheese! But watch the applesauce"
basically it's a article about McCain's own campaign saying that they need to step it up, even Fox News left a live coverage of him to report on a bear cub being saved form California's wildfires...
So Alesha Keyes and Kanye West are supporting Obama. I'll bet between the two of them neither has visited the troops in Iraq, neither supports drilling for oil in Anwar or offshore or support nuclear power. I'll also bet neither of them knows or understands the health care crisis, the budget or the tax hikes Obama is decreeing if, God forbid, he wins in November. The lamest, dumbest and least informed people in this country are the left wing liberal Hollywood crowd. Obama is like another Britney Spears or Paris Hilton. He is all celebrity and an empty shell. Obama is the least qulaified person to ever run for the presidency. Without that teleprompter he couldn't make the cut on "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader" !

Obama has been caught in lies and flip flops left and right. I can't believe how gullable people have become with what this man says (exactly what you want to hear) however the change he will bring is higher taxes, higer gas prices, weakened military, and the laughing stock of the world. Why do so many of you hate Bush for defeating terrorists? That's what this is really all about anyway. We had to take care of Iraq & you better pray we do the same to Iran before they hit us and/or Isreal. Of course Obama wants to set down and have tea with them and maybe they might like us. Hey ridergreen1, who gives a s*#t if we're are popular in other countries?!!! We were hit on 9/11 and now we're taking care of our own while helping other countries at the same. HAVE WE BEEN HIT AGAIN SINCE?
DO YOU ACTUALLY THINK THEY'RE NOT PLANNING ON TRYING? WHO GIVES A S*#T WHAT OTHER COUNTRIES THINK!!!! WAKE UP!!!!!
Entertainers are collectively the most psychotic, neurotic, drugged up, alcholic, socially unstable group in our Country. Now I KNOW I am voting for McCain!j

In terms of experience in politics where the issue is supporting what you believe in, oooops, Obama has more experience.
In terms of experience in the real world where most Americans live, oooops, Obama has more experience.
In terms of family values and loyalty, oooops, Obama is waaaaaaay ahead of McCain in positive experience.
So, Obama is more experienced.
BUT, in terms of the kind of experience that the Republicans and McCain are touting, hmmmmm. We have had the most supposedly experience team of foreign policy experts and advisors leading us in this current administration, as well as the first ever President with an MBA, and, oooooooooooooops, we have had the worst foreign policy blunders in the history of the country and achieved deficits that could not even be imagined a few years ago. That is what McCain wants his beloved country to have for the next years???
Frankly, if the McCain who ran for President in 2000 went into the booth in November 2008, HE wouldn't vote for himself, he would vote for Obama.
