The Almanac Advises for July 31: "Weight cycling, also know as yoyo dieting, is when a dieter is caught in a continuous pattern of weight loss and gain. With each diet cycle, the body's metabolism becomes less efficient, with the end result being a possible gain of more weight than ever."
