Kudos to you for your No. 1 pick! You definitely have vastly more working brain cells than ANYONE that was involved in the production (and many who bought the thing) on this piece of MORONIC garbage which passed for a song. Although I think that overall, your list is way too post 1989. Does anyone else remember "Gimme That Thing", over even "The Curly Shuffle"? I also think that something from the disco era should have been on your list.

To everyone who is bashing Spinner for this list and not giving their own suggestions you are all idiots.

90% of these songs are spot on and just because they were popular at one time doesn't mean that they are good.

I've gotta believe that the Mesopotamiams had some pretty bad songs, and some of those Gregorian chants - wow they weren't much - and the neanderthals sure had some lousy stuff out there - so I am not sure how these songs could be called the worst EVER!

Seems to me that the worst songs would be songs that no one has really every heard of. The fact that most of these songs were popular pretty much equates to the fact that they could not be the "worst songs ever." Just more typical garbage from someone with too much time on their hands.

Hey, man; I'm 68 and I even understand that eighties song. Of course, I was a mere 40 back then.

Even the titles are bad! I am 68 and don't know many of the songs, but the only ones I would take exception with are 'Convoy' and 'My Heart Will Go On.'

'Convoy' is a culture (fad) song and very catchy in its' day. Myself (and everyone else) had a CB and a handle although I forgot what my handle was. That's the song we played on 8 track tape.

'My Heart Will Go On,' being the Titanic theme, was very popular and, of course being Celine, well produced. The problem is, the entire soundtrack is composed of that one song. After awhile, it became nauseating.

In my teen days, 'My Prayer' by the Platters held on to #1 so long I couldn't stand it, but I have the Platters greatest hits on vinyl and play all the songs about once per year.

All-in-all, sounds like some pretty good selections for worst songs.
