    'Who Let the Dogs Out?'
    --Baha Men (2000)

When the Seattle Mariners and New York Mets both claimed to be the first to adopt this song, ESPN commented that "this is a little like scientists arguing over who discovered a deadly virus." It's the quintessential example of the type of song your parents embarrass you by knowing all the words to.

Do you want controversy? Make a list. Best, worst, whatever. I could make a list of my Top 20 and not one of yours would be on it. "Michael, let's not fight about it." "Like I said, I'm a lover not a fighter". The Girl Is Mine. GAG!!!

These folks put some good songs on this list. Who are they to trash some good music? If they want bad, where is "Dead Skunk in the middle of the road" or "I lost My Heart at Walgreens... And cried all the Way to Sears"... Now that's baaaad. :o).

I have to agree. These songs where made to sell records, not be a song people will wanna listen too next year, or one that someone will say..."Lets do a remake of it" But it did do the job of making money, fad for the time, and shoot the artists into the public view.

SOme of the songs on this list shouldn't be catergorized as the worst because i'm pretty sure they is far worser songs.... but then again people love screamo, emo, and punk rock bullshit so that should show where America's musical tastes have gone.

Who compiled this list? I comparison to today's standard of good music, these songs are gold. "Superman", "Let's Make Love in the Club, "Put On" are examples of pure trash. At least the songs on the list with the exception of "The Thong Song" are songs that I can listen to with my child in car!

The chronologically challenged among us will note with surprise the absence of Pat Boone's cover of Fats Domino's "Ain't That a Shame" from the list. In retrospect, it appears that Boone wasn't covering Domino directly; he was covering a (mercifully) unpublished recording by William Shatner.

Not surprising is the inclusion of "I Am Woman" and "Ebony an Ivory" in the tom ten.

I can think of a couple of songs from the 70's that are on my personal list of "worst songs ever"....that weren't included in this list that should have been...
    1. Billie Don't Be a Hero
    2. Having My Baby (Paul Anka)

    Anyone agree????

All these songs suck big time. Forgot all of Britney's stuff and "They're coming to take me away Ha Ha", just joking on that one.

hey, without this song, i wouldn't have a shirt that says "who let the bears out" with bears on it.
every song has a reason to be out, even if they are bad, but i still love this song!!

I gotta say I think "Sweet Escape" by Gwen Stefani and Akon should be on this list. With Gwen's sorry excuse for rapping which climaxes in some absolute gibberish during the pre-chorus, to Akon's two line repetition, to that annoying "Woo Hoo, YEE Hoo" in the background.

i'm not going to say all of these songs were awesome, but most of them were pretty damn great. whoever made this list should be on the worst poeple of all time list.

Like somebody said, all these songs are really old. I bet in 30 years people will say how much music from now stinks. (For example, I bet, 35 years from now "Dont Stop the Music" will be on one of these lists).

Two or three of these songs weren't even that bad. The reviewer admitted that. They were just overplayed. Which means that they don't fit the TITLE of the article! Wow, that's terrible.

As for "Who Let the Dogs Out", that was a REMAKE. BaHa Men got that song from Anslem Douglas. Jeez, you'd think these people would do their research if they're getting paid for this.

I agree with maybe half of this list but worst of all time? I think the person who had 'worst lyrics of all time' had a more accurate list than this 'worst songs of ever' list. Maybe he should just call it 'most annoying songs' if 'worst' means 'overplayed' half the time.
