'My Heart Will Go On'
--Celine Dion (1997)

You'd be hard-pressed to find anybody who doesn't groan when this one starts playing in the dentist waiting room. The strong vocal performance by Dion was impressively recorded on the first take, but unfortunately for her (and all of us), the song was so overplayed following the release of 'Titanic' that there was seemingly no escaping it.

Just because it was overplayed by greedy comercialization doesnt mean it is not a good song.

Just because it was overplayed, doesn't mean it's a good song. I liked this song even before I knew it was set along to Titanic. The person who wrote this obviously has their head up a place where the sun doesn't shine.

I hate this song, but it won an Oscar and like four Grammys. Sure, it was played into the ground, but come on. I find her voice to be more annoying than rap, but she is still talented and this is one of the most emotionally charged songs I can remember.
