    'Gettin' Jiggy Wit It'
    --Will Smith (1998)

Here is some SAT practice: Will Smith is to rap as the Jonas Brothers are to punk rock. As far as emcees go, nothing gets much more family-friendly than this Hollywood star's hop-hop-lite slumming.

I agree Kim. The creators of this list are probably the kids that sit at home and cut themselves listening to emo.

I agree also. The dance was addicting. At least it had a dance to go with and is not like the normal club grinding music

You are so right!I love Will Smith and his fun songs. I wish he would write more. I'd rather listen to him than the porno songs rap stars were putting out at time.

And I agree with Sean...Will Smith is cool no matter what he does. My question is: Is "getting jiggy with it" original or did it come from Velma in "Scooby Doo"?

"Will Smith is to rap as the Jonas Brothers are to punk rock"

So basically your saying that will smith is about the bigest poser ever and not even fitting into a genre he dosent even come close to being in in the first place? I will say he is way more rap than jonas brothers could ever hope to be punk. Jonas bros. punk? I wish I could see the dude that wrote that cause i'd bitch slap you so hard with the new Dystopia record, when you woke up hopefully youd realize what punk rock is, and if you didn't I'd stab you with it!

Song is fun and came at a time when gangsta rap was bringing down the whole hip hop genre. Three cheers to Will for recording this song!

first off HIP HOP AND RAP ARE NOT THE SAME THING AND I WISH PPL WOULD STOP MIXING THEM TOGETHER.
Will used to make hip hop music back when he was doing Fresh Prince...love dat song "Summertime"...but when he started making songs like this it wasnt even hip hop anymore just bad POP music. He admited at an awards show that he doesnt even know what it means. how do u make a song and not know what the title of the song means. Yes Im bitter because as someone who listens to rap and hip hop, it drives crazy to hear ppl group will smith into either of those genres anymore
