Potent Quotables: Noel Talks Jigga Jab

"I said what I said, and it was wrong." --Noel Gallagher

In perhaps the most shocking behavior ever exhibited from a Gallagher brother, the Oasis singer apologized for saying that Jay-Z shouldn't play this summer's Glastonbury fest. Or, in his words, "I'm not having hip-hop [there]. It's wrong."

EVERYBODY FORGETS that this a--hole said he thought Oasis was better than the Beatles, and would wind up bigger. He always WANTED to be John Lennon, and here's MORE proof. "I said what I said, and it was wrong, or was taken wrong."--John Lennon, on his comment that the Beatles were "more popular than Jesus".

if hes programming the festival, he has no reason to apologize. Its his concert, he can hire who he wants.

Hip Hop sux balls. Should never b on the same stage as rock music. How many hip hop shows u see that feature rock bands ? NONE. Rappers can steal from rock and never have them on stage and it's OK. Rockers reject rappers , their racists. Grow up white america and stop buyin this garbage.

hey johnny what kinda music do u like so i can say it's not music. I love all types of music because i have an open mind even music i don't like i can say " it's cool i just don't like it". that's how intelligent adults talk about things, rather than be a child and say that something i bet u know nothing about is revolting. ( by the way only 80 year old british women say revolting lol)

it's funny you talk about hip hop as if u know something about it but it's obvious you dont. Hip hop is an art form that is being dominated by people who don't understand the true meaning of it so it is easy for ingnorant people like u to think that hip hop is a certain way.

but in essence everyone is entitled to thier own opinion no matter how void of knowledge it may be.

by the way rap is hip hop smart guy, there u learned something today:)

Maybe for once somebody should care more for the music than the money and not have to apologize for it.Besides he is right that hip-hop crap does suck,no apology offered or implied.

I've been noticing that
1)those who agree with his taste of music (that hiphop and rap are pointless) are defending his position much more.
and that
2)you can't call it an "opinion" if he said "it's wrong" like a fact.

Had he said that he doesn't want it there because he doesn't like it,
this wouldn't even be a story
