WHO CARES ??? ALL THESE PEOPLE ARE BASICALLY
USLESS.
Joseph Mortonat 8-17-2008
What the hell? "I'm not having hip-hop there! It's wrong!" If that's ALL he said what's the problem? It appears to be an expression of personal taste in music at a venue. Certianly nothing to appoligize for. If JZ doesn't like it he can go to his 40/40 club in Vegas and hip-hop all he wants! The Gallagher brothers are generally a'holes and have certianly said many things they should appoligize for but this is not one of them! I don't want hip-hop anywhere, it sucks! THERE, I SAID IT! And I am not going to apologize for my taste in music.

but youre a nobody, so it doesnt matter if you say it or not. And what's so "WRONG" about hip-hop? It would have been his opinion if he said i'm not having hip-hop there because i dont like hip-hop but he used the words "it's wrong" as if that is a fact. These days if they think youre(the celebrities, public figures) being racist AT ALL, they are going to jump all over you and more than likely you'll come out with some lost endorsements and that will take your paycheck down...so he was very smart to apologize.
Cherieat 8-17-2008
I agree with Mr. Morton.
Sherylat 8-17-2008
Joseph, I AGREE very well said.

'Forgive Noell Gallagher, for he knows not what he does'. He's usually the Gallagher brother who is more in control of himself.
As for Jay-Z (check your spelling people), he always minds his own business, and works across all genres. He does not get dirty with you unless you test him first. As for useless-hardly! Anyone who would say such a thing is simply ignorant to many facts about this man and his many successes and charitable giving. Do some reading so that you don't come off as ignorant.

to each his own. it is afterall what makes the world go tound.

Good for him and I see no reason for him apologizing. I HATE that no talent hip-hop trash! Why should he apologize for how he feels? It's his RIGHT! If the blacks can say what they feel then so can he! Remember free speech? Hip-hop and rap isn't even music anyway!
ayumi649at 8-17-2008
um....this really isnt that serious for you to be getting so angry...calm down.
katherineat 8-17-2008
You are out of line! You are making yourself out to be ignorant and frankly, I pity you.
vlenlouat 8-17-2008
As usual Tami, Your ignorance is showing... One man says something about another man and all of a sudden you've gone there with "ALL BLACKS". Again, Ignorance is Bliss and Tami has proven that... Peace Tami :)
annland7at 8-17-2008
what the hell r u talking about. white people like hip-hop just as much as black people do. and hip-hop is music. why don't you ask the grammy's why they give out awards in that catagory.
nikb932at 8-17-2008
wow! for something that isn't real music nothing have influenced pop culture more...in every country there is hip-hop. It has even influenced the fashion industry(rockawear, Seanjohn)..hip-hop is what rock roll was to mainstream culture fifty years ago. If you don't like hip-hop everyone is intitled to thier own opinion, however the arguement that it's not real music is really not a valid one

(adding late comment)
you are funny tami. u think hip hop is not music when hip hop is pretty much everything and every where lol. Your heart beats to a rythmn similar to hip hop more than it does to any other genre.
saying hip hop is not music is like saying you are not human...plus it's just a stupid ass way to look at things that are different ya wierdo.
keep being an undercover racist buddy!

With all the celebrity crap that goes on, that is the one that makes headlines?
mevatronat 8-17-2008
I agree, this isn't even news worthy!
Noel Gallagher can have his opinion. He wasn't really pointing to Jay-Z so much but at the style of music Jay-Z represents. Noel just doesn't care for it. But that's okay I don't care for Noels songs without his brother vocals behind them, so there you go!

See, the thing is, rock musicians are generally not very skilled at their craft. It's mostly 3 chords and a LOT of distortion in their guitar processor. Other than grunge, which was nothing more than Led Zeppelin with T-shirts and EVEN MORE distortion, there hasn't been ANYTHING NEW in rock music since maybe... like... Prince? And that was the early 80's. What? Metal? Yeah, right. Uh...? Punk? Pleeeease. They actually TRIED TO SUCK PLAYING THEIR INSTRUMENT! AND. THEY. DID. ALL-TER-NATIVE? This is my favorite. Created for all of the idiots that never listened to say... Aboriginal music from New Zealand? Now THAT'S alternative. Not turning up your amp a little more and sucking down enough drugs to damp the volume (Courtney Love. What a no-talent train wreck. Hole. "hey courtney? Do your daughter a favor JUMP IN A VERY DEEP ONE")...
So as for anyone giving a shit about Oasis and their racist leanings... the slaves were brought over by their ancestors from which our own Revolution was born.

Your opinion, and you're entitled to it, but the tone and trash talk don't say much for your manners, or personality. If you don't like a style of music - don't buy it. If you'd rather listen to hip-hop, well, I'd rather you went and put on your headphones instead of splashing nastiness across my computer screen.
Joeyat 8-17-2008
Wow that was the biggest bunch of bull I've read.. in a long time. What does race have to do with the the topic? Especially for you to insult rock out of no where. All this guy is saying is his taste in music. Especially how rap doesnt fit the genre at the Glastonbury. But I wouldn't expect someone who listens to rap to understand that.. all you people(rap listeners in general) know is hate, violence, and sadly.. slang.. yo.
