Rage Against the Machine will play a free show on August 27 in Denver during the Democratic National Convention as part of the Tent State Music Festival to End the War.Smashing Pumpkins are also playing a free show -- in Orlando on August 22. The band's MySpace says entering 'Pumpkins' in the comment box will give your request priority when applying for tickets.
Vampire Weekend have a new song, 'Ottomon,' on the soundtrack to the upcoming film, 'Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist.' Devendra Banhart makes a cameo in the movie.
Marilyn Manson's band has recruited a new guitarist: former Limp Bizkit member Wes Borland.
