On October 14, Ingrid Michaelson will be releasing 'Be OK,' a benefit project that features a mix of previously unreleased songs, covers and live tracks. A portion of the proceeds will go to Stand Up to Cancer (SU2C), an organization focusing on cutting-edge research to find a cure for all types of cancer."Being one of millions with a close connection to cancer, I know I need to do my part," Michaelson says.
On the inspiring title track, the New York singer-songwriter combines a playfully strummed ukulele with a strong bass line to create a refreshingly bouncy groove, similar to that of her hit single, 'The Way I Am.' The song will be available on iTunes beginning September 2, but you can hear it exclusively on Spinner now.
