I think a number of less "A" list celebs have realized they don't even have to bang groupies anymore, they can answer fan mail, and cull the hotties from there so much easier with the internet and whatnot. Good way to get cooties. celebrities are just people, they just go after more attention than the rest of us. These careers don't magically happen, they are pursued, entertianment is a business, and one of the perks is people will do you, because you're even mildly famous. Welcome to being a hot chick John Mayer, it's about the same. people will compete to have sex with you, without ever knowing you at all.
