On This Date in 1975: 'Get Down Tonight,' by KC and the Sunshine Band, boogies its way to the No. 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart.The Almanac Advises for August 30: "When exiting a house on fire, keep as low to the ground as possible. Since smoke rises, it will be easier to breathe the further down you go."
