Courtney Love Tears Into the VMAs, Ryan Adams ... Again

This just in: Courtney Love has something to say. OK, so she might not be totally insane in thinking that MTV's VMAs are no longer as musically relevant as they once were, but to say "y'all need some p---- and some c--- and shut the hell up" ... Courtney, you're a lady. Kinda.

Love's cumbersome blog begins with her admitting that she didn't actually attend (or even watch) the show this year and it ends with her signing off as "KooKoo."

"I didnt go to the 'VMAS' as we used to call them but they've gotten so f---ing Urban," she writes. "I dont know I guess Van Toffler thought (hes an exec at MTV) he was being edgy and he WAS by letting my darkling prince [Russell] Brand host the MTV awards -- but theyre not the 'VMAS' and they never will be again."

What follows are 2,035 unfocused words that lead to half-formed thoughts (mortgage fraud), old rants (Ryan Adams), new praises (Bright Eyes) and every once in awhile, fury at the VMAs.

Bringing it back around, Love writes (spelling errors and all), that "ist not exactltya f---ing rock fest at mtv its...... 'date my mom' remember -- and it will never revert back to reliably rock n roll."

Oh, Courtney, here we are now. Entertain us.

Courtney may be right about the VMA's...they dont reflect what the initial intention was. Video Music. However...until she will sit with my lawyer and the three investigators I've hired...and we can come to a mutual agreement as far as her paying me back....I will have absolutely nothing to do with her.

darcene734---- This year, Britney EARNED those awards!! Her personal life has NOTHING to do with her TALENT, which is what the awards are for. She also has a medical condition that caused that behavior and it has been under control for some time. So before you run off at the mouth at who deserves what, pay attention to TODAY'S news, not that from a year ago and also when you are through bashing people who have REAL medical problems, go take an English class. You do NOT put an apostropie on EVERY word that ends in an S. That signifies belonging to, and Britney did not LOOSE her kids - were they tied up? It's spelled LOSE..Sort of like you're behaving like here - a LOSER.

Yeah well regardless of what you think about Courtney Love, she's right. MTV sucks and has sucked for the past decade, so unfortunately it's really not a startling revelation or awe-inspiring insight. And the line "Oh, Courtney, here we are now. Entertain us" made me cry till i laughed. For fucks sake don't write something that stupid again.

Wow, lots of annoyed judgemental people on here. I personally do not like nor have I ever listened to her music. But that is my choice as an American citizen. You know to pick & choose my music. And in my opinion the person who wrote "go back to the 80's" Holy crap. That was the worst decade other than M.Jackson ever. Thats my opinion.

You know what you don;t like the laws in this country move out. I promise we won't miss you. Try Cuba, N korea or Iran then let me kow what you think. You don't know how good ou have it. Don't like the station change the channel or buy an Ipod. No wonder this country is in havoc. You take this for granted. Smells like Teen spirit!!!

MTV is a joke. They don't even have music videos on anymore. Station hasn't been into music in over 12 years.

I agree with some of the above comments, why don't MTV just go back to playing music! forget all those sucking reality shows! like the Hills! Parental Control,My Sixteen Birthday! etc.... What happen to just playing music video's???????? I think MTV eventually shall be history and someone with a brain shall come up with a program that just offer's music videos and No more reality show's! Yikes I don't give a rats!!! you know what! about "Spencer, Hedi, Lauren, and the other phony members of the Hill! Please MTV wise up and go back to just playing music video's! Oh yes the VMA this year really SUCKS!!! Brittany Spears's wins a VMA for what? being a slut! loosing her kids! A drug abuser! Oh yes that's right Last year Amy Whinehouse won a grammy for being a "crackhead" Gee! can't believe that we are so gullible!

Okay so the VMA's do suck and most music out there right now sucks also, but to say that the VMA's are too urban is like saying that they are too black. Come on people, at MTV like everywhere else, they whats popluar and right now it's hip hop, pop, and alternative music. Trust me when MTV was ONLY playing rock it wasn't the greatest to a lot of people then either. Bottom line is reality shows and hip hop are hot right now and thats why MTV is flooded with it. I think that the VMA's should be more blanced and have equal parts of everything, but this is not a perfect world. To the dummy who said rap should be outlawed, you are a jack ass! let's just go ahead and ban everything that some people don't like.....that sounds like a neo-nazi to me. I'm all for comments but just make sure you try to sound intellegent.Damn.lol
