Nine Inch Nails Show Their Political 'Hand'

On their 2006 tour, Nine Inch Nails featured a photo of George W. Bush on a screen during the performance of 'The Hand That Feeds.' With the 2008 presidential election less than two months away, Trent Reznor and mates have updated their message. During a sold-out show Saturday night at L.A.'s Forum, the image of Bush during 'The Hand That Feeds' morphed throughout the song, eventually turning into the face of current Republican nominee John McCain.

The image was a telling one, aligning with Reznor's concept behind 'Year Zero' -- the apolocalyptic events that would occur if the current administration stayed in power through the next election.

The shape-shifting image was part of a dazzling visual show as the group wrapped up the first leg of their current U.S. tour before the frenzied, sold-out crowd. NIN will head to South America before returning to the U.S. in late October for another run of dates, including a headlining appearance at New Orleans' Voodoo Music Fest.
