'Got to Get You Into My Life'
--The Beatles (1966)
The defense: It's just a silly love song.
The verdict: Guilty. As McCartney admitted, it is his paean to "some other kind of mind." "If I am true I'll never leave," he sang. With songs such as 'Hi Hi Hi' and his Japanese pot bust, he has stayed true to his beloved for years.

You can tell what the video is about--if its about drugs then thats what it is. Music is all about interpretation of the song. Freedom to write what you feel. 60's era was different--you could go out on limb& be yourself--no hassles. Everything was in then. Song bashing isnt going to change the world. Willingness to listen - to hear- to try new things is. Thats what made Grace so special & that voice, man, incredible.
Was grateful to see the Jefferson Airplane when they came around in the 80's. It was amazing. More Power to ya Grace--we love you !! Peace, Nina Domenico--
20 Songs that might be about drugs?
Are you kidding AOL? Do you believe in magic?
Talkin' bout my g-g-g-generation.
Many Rock bands back then recorded some songs that referenced 'substance use'. If they could get the lines in the songs past the producers, they would. Artists weren't looking to get there music pulled from the radio. Most went unnoticed because parents and old people didn't know what the hell they were singing about in the first place.
It was a Great Generation to live through!
Then Jimi died, then Janis, then Jim. Things seemed to go downhill from there. Drug overdosing & alcohol abuse... this is the end, beautiful friend.
