'White Rabbit'
--Jefferson Airplane (1967)
The defense: It's just 'Alice in Wonderland.'
The verdict: Guilty. It was the theme song of teen-drug-abuse cautionary TV movie 'Go Ask Alice'; Grace Slick admitted to conceiving the song while on LSD.

Ok, you have to take the times of these songs into consideration. Not every remark is a direct link to negative habits. Especially to day giving out candy to kids during Halloween doesn't mean that the "candy man" will be handing out doobies and candy drops to the little ones of this generation.
Yes, it is a personal choice to veto or disregard music, lyrics if they are offensive and negative.
Yes, the public need to be aware of bad guys, but most decent folks are not a menice in the neighborhood. Don't prejudge people by their appearance, style, or culture.

Grace Slick herself said White Rabbit is about drugs. She also said she wrote the song after realizing the majority of childrens tales reference drug use in one form or another.

"Alice In Wonderland" was written by a Math Professor as he floated down a river with one of his students with a girl named Alice and her older sister, who was the same age as the student. Both men were interested in the older sister. This story was made up while floating down a river in a row boat as the older passengers smoked a bong. Not only is the song about drugs, so is the story. Ever read "Through the Looking Glass"? When I did as a teen, I thought it seemed like a bad dream!
