It's you, as someone who *obviously* knows nothing, who should shut up. As a scientologist, Cruise has been PROVEN to have DIRECTLY attacked people who have spoken against scientology, as well as people whose only crime has been to attempt to keep a loved one from being brainwashed by the sect. And by the way, go read up on the lawsuit the French just dropped on scientology!

I think he's said and done some things without thinking sometimes - but who hasn't? I don't agree with some of stuff he's said and done but what I love about these bashers ('love' used sarcastically here) is how they're all "scientology is an evil cult They hate anyone who's not them!" Yes because, its better to hate them if you're not one of them? I've studied scientology. It wasn't really my thing in the end, I think the people go overboard but I don't think its evil or a 'cult' (I don't see them sacrificing virgins!) and its simple, if you don't like it, don't join! I would like to point out a fact that I have never heard Mr.Cruise or anybody else comment on. He happens to be a VERY accomplished pilot. So much so that I am actually impressed. Travolata, while a highly publicized pilot can't fly a tail dragger (DC-3) which is the real deal, no amount of money can buy that ability. On the other hand Cruise can fly a P-51 and probably anything else. I have considerable time in both. Cruise is in the 1% of the worlds population that has the God given ability to do so. Go figure.

WEll, he did "hurt" Brooke Shields when the actor who follows the teachings of a sci-fi writer stated in regards to her use of medication to handle post-partum depression that such medicines were not necessary, etc.
