hes right, it isnt rock n roll. saw a commercial advertising something where the jobros give advice on how to be a real rockstar, or something like that and i was like, "you havent seen what its really like to be a rockstar."

I agree with Nikki Sixx seeing since he's had the experience of rock music himself being in numerous bands I think he knows what he's talking about. Last time I checked disney singers are just the ones that can't actually sing so the lip-sync for a living, but still gets a bunch of money because they are the "perfect role models for our kids to look up to" Give me a break.

The one thing everyone seems to be forgetting is that Motley Crue and the like actually make their own music.That to me is what a rock "band" does.Most of the so called "music" today is done by singing into a synthesizer with the sounds already pre mixed and they know someone who knows someone...oooh what talent...

I don't listen to Motley Crue, but I'll defend them until the end of time against crap like Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers. I grew up listening to rock and punk music. Miley and Jonas are pop. Their talent is debatable, but their genre is not. How can you compare them to Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, etc., and call yourself a rocker? Miley and Jonas' music is watered down teeny-bopper pop! They are passing trends, like the Spice Girls (who, by the way had more talent than Miley will ever have).

They won't stand the test of time, the way most of the best rock bands have. Twenty years from now, no one will remember either of them. Trends come and go. Rock lives forever.

and also, just to put it out there, motley crue... well, those 80's bands like them, whitesnake, poison, def leppard, etc, are laughingly called hair bands for a reason. they really arent that great, and definitely do not qualify as metal in any sense. sorry to break it to all the people that grew up on that stuff.
