The only time I ever heard any music from the Jonas Brothers was in a commercial. It's to rock what is to hip-hop, and the only time I can say Iheard Miley was in a frequent commercials for her concerts and shows. Regardless, you would agree with Sixx that there is a visible line between pop music and rock music. Those with ears for music can spot the differences flawlessly.

well duh jobros and miley are pop not rock and i don't thing they r trying to do rock well miley is but miley knows she can't rock and from my point of view the jonas brothers rock or not are awsome but miley well i could live without having to seeing/hearing her on everything (tv,music on radio, backpack,etc.)

There's no real revelation in this quote here... Any person worth their car audio system can tell you Miley and the Brothers suck. And calling them rock is like a slap in the face to all the hard working bands kickin' butt at the bars and living the rock n roll life. The Disney bands are all just a bunch of whiney rich kids with a career handed to them on a platter. They didn't sweat it out in a cramped hole in the wall or sleep with their gear in a van with 5 other guys while the only one sober enough to drive took them across the bayou or the desert at 3.am. These sissies make me wanna puke. And worst of all... they can't even sing. They aren't rock. They're just a product. Like gummi bears or tootsie rolls. It's just something for the kids to buy. It has no socially redeeming quality whatsoever. Everyone knows that. Duh.

Well the Jonas Brothers did start out playing clubs in a van in Jersey... but that's beside the point. Miley and the Jonas Brothers are not rock. Anyone with ears can attest to that. But it's not like they are in charge of their marketing. That's all the company.

Just because some bands don't go around wearing makeup, and they don't have piercings from head-to-toe, and they don't go around swearing every chance they get.....that doesn't make them NOT rock. I have to admit that the jonas brothers and miley aren't the head banging type of rock. But they have a good mixture between rock and pop. I think that's what makes them so popular.

How old are you? 13? Disney has never had a real rock performer. Its all pop. Its a particular sound. It has to do with tempo, instruments used, ect.

I think he's right. Miley Cyrus is pop. The Jonas Brothers are pop. That's all there is to it. I agree with Jason. The only reason they're so popular is because thousands of unknowing little kids are drooling over them.. They have no idea what work really is. Miley's gotten herself into quite a bit of trouble even. For kids especially, that is not role model material. Their careers were just handed to them and all they can do for it is whine to their parents and give us bad - mistitled - music. They need to crack open a wikipedia..

I agree with him totally. Miley and the Jonas Brothers are pure pop. And to those who are complaining that they're talented musicians.. whatever. Sixx never said anything about their talent. Just that they are not ROCK. and yes. Rock does require makeup and piercings. ... and tattoos for that matter.

I ABSOLUTELY hate the GAY bros and SLUTly cyrus. their fans are all friggin 5-10 year old spoiled bratz. They ARE NOT rock at all. Miley has a decent voice but sings the dumbest things and she is definately pop. I don't even know why anyone would classify her as rock. as for the joas brothers Nick is the only one with a good voice the other 2 just have whiney horrible voices. they are (i dare to say) somewhat rock but not enough to be in rock sections they are more pop and again all their fans are 5-10 year olds then older girls who think they are hot.

But please, for the love of God, don't insult others' tastes in music. If they like it, they like it, it doesn't matter about what you think.
