Although they're not breaking up, fans shouldn't expect to hear from the Foo Fighters again for quite some time. Following the band's upcoming performances in Las Vegas (September 25-26) and at the Austin City Limits Festival (Sept. 28), the band is going on an extended hiatus according to a new radio interview with frontman Dave Grohl."We've never really taken a long break, I think it's time," Grohl said speaking to BBC Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles. The Foos intend to return with a new sense of purpose at some point, although specifics on those plans are unknown.
"After doing Wembley, we shouldn't come back there for 10 years because we've played to everybody," Grohl says. "I think it's time to take a break and come back over when people really miss us."
Oh, how we'll miss those cheesy rock moves, indeed.
