Barker, DJ AM Expected to 'Fully Recover' After Crash

After emerging in flames from an airplane crash late Friday night, former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and DJ AM are expected to make a full recovery. Both Barker and AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, suffered second and third degree burns, and are still hospitalized at a burn center in Augusta, Georgia, in critical condition.

The two musicians, who perform together as TRVSDJ-AM, boarded a private Learjet 60 aircraft, along with Barker's assistant, "Little" Chris Baker, and Barker's security guard, Charles Still, on Friday night in Columbia, South Carolina. They were headed back to Southern California after performing a free college concert in Columbia. Neither Baker nor Still survived the crash. The plane's pilot and co-pilot also perished.

CNN reports that officials have recovered the cockpit voice recorder and are launching a full investigation. Air traffic controllers said they saw sparks as the plane attempted to take off and there are pieces of the airplane scattered along the runway. Although it is not known if the plane ever left the ground, it did blow past the end of the runway, crashing through obstacles until finally hitting an embankment.

Barker and DJ AM are the only survivors.
