Clay Aiken Says 'I'm Gay'

When Clay Aiken shot to stardom via the 21 million viewers who watched him come in second place on the second season of television's 'American Idol,' he gave America not only a new idol, but new reason to visit the office water cooler. More people loved him than hated him, most people agreed the kid could sing, but everybody questioned two things: his age and his sexuality.

Now, at the age of 30, Aiken has come out of the closet, spilling the beans in the upcoming issue of People magazine. He's shown on the cover, with the headline "Yes, I'm gay," cradling his baby with the quote, "I cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things."

So, you're gay and we're proud of you, Clay. Plus, this way, we won't have to pretend that we don't think that you think you're hiding something we're pretty sure you're not. Wait, what?
