According to reports, after roughly six months together, actress Natalie Portman and quirky singer Devendra Banhart have split. A source confirmed that the two "will remain friends but need some space and time away."

In July, Spinner premiered Banhart's Bollywood-accented video for 'Carmensita,' in which his then-girlfriend plays a dancing princess. It was during that collaboration that the two fell for each other and shortly after, photos of the them kissing and holding hands in New York began popping up in gossip rags.
