'I've Got You Under My Skin' --Bono and Frank Sinatra (1993)
This Cole Porter standard had been a Sinatra mainstay for decades when some marketing genius decided Ol' Blue Eyes should cut the 'Duets' album with contemporary singers. The album's lowlight is unquestionably Bono, whose melodramatic crooning wanders perilously close to whale song. It's fun to imagine Sinatra's rising anger as Bono starts moaning like a deranged ghost.

I don't believe I have heard it...But I am with alot of others on this, it seems like Spinner needs a more educated, open minded critic. This person don't have much musical experience and it seems they don't know their older genres. I mean come on...I understand about the Madonna/Timberlake bit, I like Madonna's older stuff, but when she popped off and decided to sing her political opinion, I stopped listening. If I want politics I will watch a news channels, when I want music, I watch singers. Anyhow, apparently Spinner is another opinion to no longer take into consideration.

Lori I'm with you!! this is one of my favorites off of the Sinatra's duet album. My other favorites are I'm Gonna Love You w/Gloria Estefan. I've Got a Crush on You w/Barbara Striesand. Whoever wrote this has no taste in music whatsoever!!

Bono was out of his league, Mr. Sinatra unfortunately was out of it... questionable production and concept...

I know an awful lot about music and this Duet was fine.

The Spinner staff needs to hire someone who has at least a little bit of musical taste. Whoever compiled this list obviously doesn't understand anything about music more complicated than "Rubber Ducky!" These people wouldn't know good music if it bit them on their tone-deaf ears!

"perilously close to whale song" LMAO

They could have picked someone alot better than Bono to do this song. When he starts singing it probably makes Frank roll over a few times in his grave.

Even though these two are two of the greatest artists of all time doesn't mean they should do a duet together. This was crap....

Sinatra could sing with a chipmonk and be fantastic...AOL morons who write this stuff knows nothing about music....Bono sucked but ole blue eyes saved the day!!

I loved the Willie/Julio duet -- thought it very unusual for a country singer and a very pop/singer duet together. It was fun, love Willie and Julio too. Course that was a long time ago before a lot of bloggers were born!

hmm...yeah, seems like the writer knew about, lets say, 15 duets, and he had to talk about shitty ones...so, of the 15 he does know, he picked 10 and said stupidities...so - freaking - lame
Hectorat 11-18-2009
Dude, this is seriously stupid... You've to be seriously mentally retarded to even think this is a bad duet.
