10 Worst Duets Ever: No. 5

'To All the Girls I've Loved Before'
--Willie Nelson and Julio Iglesias (1984)

As if the pairing of a stoned country-music legend and a super-suave Latin lothario wasn't strange enough, this too-boring-to-be-funny song is basically a shout-out to every notch on their collective bedposts. Talk about your unpleasant images: Just imagine being in a room with all the girls Willie has loved before.

Johnny Carson's (as Willie Nelson) "take" on this song was a hit! There's got to be a YouTube on this one.

The duet by Willie and Julio is one of the greatest songs ever.... It sings of respect for women. Reckon today's youngsters can't grasp the concept.

Ok...there's one thing to trash songs (that shouldn't be trashed this way in the first place) is one thing....but when you start trashing someone like Willie Nelson......or Julio Iglesias.....you need some serious help. A true music citic should be begging for forgivness for trashing these two singers! They're basically classics!

I agree with you on that. Some of these songs are really good and should get more respect than this list is giving them.

This is one of the world's worst songs. Whoever thought to pair these two together was seriously stoned at the time. As were the other's that gave the greenlight to this wretched project.

Putting Julio Iglesias with Willie Nelson is like wearing house slippers with a three piece suit.

I gag every time I hear this song. Thankfully, it doesn't get much airplay anymore.

First of all, take the caps off, idiot. Second, learn English so someone can make some sense from your posts. If you have a point to make, try to at least sound halfway intelligent.

For your information, I happen to like a few of the songs on this list, and no, I don't listen to raunchy rap music with foul lyrics. Since all of you are so sure about my age, I guess it does no good to tell you that I'm 41. My tastes in music range from classic rock to jazz. I'm just like BJ, I happen to think this song was nothing more than a joke, a bad idea. I think their voices are a bad combination together.

Last time I looked, this is a free country, and I'm entitled to my opinion, as are you. I'm just mature enough to not trash someone else for theirs.

Oh, and for the record, I have an extensive background in music. But I guess that fact is lost on losers that have to lash out about things they know nothing about. The suit/slippers comment was meant as a joke, to make someone laugh.

Just because my taste is different from yours doesn't make me a sick human. Grow up.

It is understandable that someone with ONLY TASTE IN THEIR MOUTH, would not be able to appreciate GREAT music
and artists. I just wish I had a third of the money that was made by Willie & Julio for that song.It will always be a GREAT song ang CLASSIC. Too bad your intelligence does't span out that far.

Kc and Luvin Jordan are obviously teeny boppers or just plain morons. This is a great song with great lyrics that was done very well by these two great artists. Only this fool critic and these moron posters could say anything bad about this song. This song is a classic. I'm 34 and I love this song.

Yup, it was a hit then and still loved by those who enjoyed it back in the day...What you said about the posters and mentioning your age, see that's the problem...Most of them trashing it are under the age of 27, probably the writer too. And seeing how they are this age or younger, they grew up on shit like cappin' cops, trashin' hoes, bitch better have my money, and so on. They wouldn't know good music if it bit them in the ass.

The Spinner staff needs to hire someone who has at least a little bit of musical taste. Whoever compiled this list obviously doesn't understand anything about music more complicated than "Rubber Ducky!" These people wouldn't know good music if it bit them on their tone-deaf ears!

THANK YOU for including this song on the list! As soon as I saw the title of this article, this song popped into my mind.

I was just talking to a friend last month about my theory that the idea of this duet was a joke, but somebody misunderstood and thought it was a serious suggestion. ("Dude, wouldn't it be hilarious if Willie Nelson and Julio Iglesias...?")
