'Dancing in the Street' --Mick Jagger and David Bowie (1985)
Jagger and Bowie recorded this Martha and the Vandellas cover (and shot the entire video) in less than one day. It shows. Hamming it up in the most hideous '80s fashions imaginable, two of the coolest rockers ever managed to murder both a great song and their reputations. The single's proceeds going to charity may be the only thing keeping everyone involved out of jail.

Seriously?
SERIOUSLY?
How can this be one of the worst duets? It's classic.
And after looking at your list of Bad songs by good bands, I don't even know why I took the time to look at this musical list.
Shame on me for wasting time on such utter crap.

This WAS one of the worst ever. Neither of the two of them sounded as if they had any interest in even being in the studio that day.

Jagger and Bowie's rendition of "Dancing in The Streets" is kick-arse! Nothing wrong with a couple veteran musicians having a little fun with an old classic! Id like to see the author of this article do a better job.....?

this is a good song and music vid.

This is obviously written by some intern with absolutely no knowledge or credibility whatsoever. And to mock a charitable song. AOL continues to suck and nosedive.

I can't disagree more...this is a pretty awesome song.

To the complainers: are you all deaf? Ground Control to Major Tom, this is not a good song. Jagger was fresh off of Start Me Up, and then this?

yes this song was horrible

It was so embarrassingly pretentious when they added the line "and the streets of Brazil" -- and that video was the 80s at its very worst.

I liked this song

The Spinner staff needs to hire someone who has at least a little bit of musical taste. Whoever compiled this list obviously doesn't understand anything about music more complicated than "Rubber Ducky!" These people wouldn't know good music if it bit them on their tone-deaf ears!

It was hot.

That video was so Gay, no wonder there is the rumor that Jagger and Bowie had sex. Bowie ran from the office when he was on Howard Stern when Howard wanted to bring up the Bowie / Jagger rumor.

Sure was a good dance song"in the day". Music evolves; at least you could understand the lyrics!
no6of6at 10-21-2008
Wait, what is wrong with 80's fashions?!
crazychickfromhiat 10-21-2008
I dont normally like 80s music but I didnt think this song was bad... the music video was horrible but not the song.
