    Coldplay's Martin Loves Nickelback

Why do people gotta be hatin' on Nickelback? That's what Chris Martin wants to know. The Coldplay frontman says he has "nothing but respect" for the Chad Kroeger-fronted foursome.

Martin gave props to the Canadian rockers in a new interview with Absolute Radio, the national pop and rock station formerly known as Virgin Radio. "They take a lot of flack from people who have never done f--- all in their life," he says. "I think they're great. That's my final word."

And when Martin isn't humming 'Someday' or extolling the brilliance of 'How You Remind Me,' he's praising his own band's hard work. In the interview, Chris says that Coldplay is "better than we used to be."

"I think our concert is the least s--- Coldplay concert at the moment that you could have possibly ever seen." Um, thanks?

Yeah, you're not a complete retard at all...

Nickelback is whatever... on the other hand, Coldplay is easily one of the top ten bands of the last five years and that is not just my opinion, but the opinion of the critics. Suck on that moron.

I agree with pyramid2112 shitty band followed by shitty band .. sure i might be close minded but that's because i like good music.. BTW most the people commenting on here have probally never listened to a entire album in their lives... especially not one the radio and/or the critics have told them to.

Actually I have listened to pretty much all of Coldplay's albums, as well as Nickelback. I think both of them are very talented and should be respected in the music industry.

By the way, I also don't listen to just the radio hits. I happen to like most music. Everything from bluegrass to swing music to rap.

Maybe you shouldn't be judging the fans of certain bands.. because we could easily turn your statement against you.

first of all Nickleback blows. Second of all coldplay is way worse. How can you look at those pictures of that awful band and still defend them. Usually ugly people make better music than the pretty boys. But this guy is just ugly and lame.

Fisrt of all, I have listened to every Nickelback song out there, and I personally think that they are great. Sure, there first album wasn't that great, but they got a whole lot better. Better than Coldplay. I've listened to some of there song, and I think that they all suck.

Huh? I must be out of the loop because I thought the Nickelback bashing days were over. Have they not proven how great they are??? Not just my FAVORITE rock band, but I have nothing but respect and admiration for Chad Kroeger. As young as he is, as successful as he is... if he keeps it up, we're going to be hearing about him FOREVER. Definitely on his way to being a legend of the industry. This guy doesn't just write songs, play guitar and sing. He produces, he promotes, he gives others a leg up (check out the shout-out on Daughtry's CD). Some people come into a career and just "do it." Others LIVE it. They embrace it, they learn it, they develop it, they evolve it. Chad Kroeger is one of those who is living his career and making sure others can, too. Google him and see for yourself. His name is everywhere. And just because I'm on the subject, Google Richie Sambora, too. Same thing. He's just quieter.

Okay Chris Martin. You want to know why Nickleback isn't so popular any more I'll tell ya! Chad is a drunk driver caught in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. He is currently fighting his conviction taking up valuable court time and taxpayers money needlessly. He is a whimp a cheat most of all irrisponceable.Anyone caught drinking and driving while speeding down a road deserves their just rewards.
This is inexcusable what he's doing and what he has done.Chad grow-up and take your punishment like a man, admit your fault and redeam yourself to fellow Canadians. If I did that I certainly would owe up to my actions and repair my image with the knowledge that I am reasponcable for myself actions.
