The last line was hilarious thanking all of the sponsers and then "long live punk rock". Seriously funny.

Two things:
1) Moby *was* in a hardcore band called The Vatican Commandos in the mid-80s. They were OK but not great. They released two 7" records and a 12". I used to own them but ditched 'em long ago. He's made *claims* to have been a member of Flipper but that's a huge exaggeration (he sang for them for two shows or something when one of them was sick, I think).
2) Yeah, I know it's satire. Sadly, it's just plain not funny, except for the last line.

It's pretty sad that most of the douchebags who watched this video didn't get what was going on. Sad. So much for "No Child Left Behind."

I've never seen anyone sell out more. this message brought to you by hot topic and rockstar enery drinks.

I'm just going to put it out there and see what happens: THIS IS SATIRE! IT'S A JOKE!

All you idiots who hate on Moby so much need to get to a fucking rave and watch Moby do a DJ set... has anyone ever seen how AMAZING he is live?
His techno/house DJ mixes were fucking incredible! I wasn't too familiar at all with his stuff, I only went to that rave to see Christopher Lawrence and Benny Benassi, but I walked out that night as a new Moby fan.
Seriously, look up Moby's live stuff on youtube, that guy is insanely awesome!

Sounds to me like this Moby Dude is gettin' it on more like at the true Roots of Punk ala The RAMONES, B-52s,
Dictators, Talking Heads...CBGBs which had its dose
of angst, anti guv, anti dis n' dat but was Far More
about FUN and SATIRE and PIZZA and Red Chuck Taylors.
Punk crossed the Atlantic and was picked up by presumed to be "First Punks": The SEx Pistols, The Clash, The Vibrators, et al and somewhere along the way began to take itself seriously and missed the Point
because there is No Point. Twenty, Twenty, Twenty Four
Hours to Go. I Wanna Be Sedated. I Do All 16 Dances.
All the Girls are in Love with me, I'm a Teenage Lobotomy.
The Poet Elvis said something like: I used to be
disgusted, now I try to be amused ( I paraphrase ... too many lobotomies). Maybe I've got it All Wrong,
but I would rather laugh and make fun of Suckas, Liars,
and Idiot Dunces like DUBya and Jonnie MacPain than
Worship the Gods Anarchy and Nihilism. Is MOBY perhaps
being more authentic in his parody? Some folks don't realize that the Sex Pistols were an assembled project
(not exactly "designed for TV") but put together in similar fashion to "The Monkees".

Moby? Who the hell is Moby? And why are we supposed to care?

Nothing more pathetic than an old guy trying to stay relevant.

Another reason why you still shouldn't trust anyone over 30.
