The words "This is how we roll" don't often bring to mind the image of a bicycle. Apparently, however, the multi-talented rap star formerly known as Lil' Romeo has been tooling around the USC campus on a bike. Several of them, in fact: the man who holds the record as the youngest pop singer with a No. 1 hit tells People magazine he's had three expensive bikes stolen since he arrived on campus for his freshman year a few weeks ago. "Now I just have a little five-dollar bike that hopefully no one will want," says Romeo, who, at 6 feet, can no longer be categorized as "lil'."
The 18-year-old son of New Orleans hip-hop mogul Master P is attending USC on a basketball scholarship. Talk about kids with packed schedules: In addition to his albums and film and TV appearances, Romeo applied to college as the creator of Gee Gee the Magical Giraffe, a cartoon character that teaches kids about the importance of green living.
One thing he's not cutting back on are his precious metals. Romeo says he has taken to sleeping with his earrings on, just in case.
