I do not like Jessica Simpson's music at all in country. She was okay back when she did pop... but now she realizes that girly girl pop is not the thing anymore. It is not even popular... but as the country music business is so much more popular than it used to be (as its style has changed as well)... then we realize that country music is the only place she even has a CHANCE.
LeAnn Rimes on the other hand has some big hits, although I must agree that her spotlight was more so years ago than today.

Its all POP music being played on the (BIG CORPORATE-RADIO STATIONS) and its all a smoke show for those that actually believe the crap coming out of Nashville these days is actually COUNTRY MUSIC.
Country music these days is about the look, the sex appeal and can they sell it to the blind public. It has nothing to do with the music anymore, at least Leeann has the fiddle and the steel and some resemblence to the roots of country music.
"Murder on Music Row" In another 10 years or so, all the country music ledgends will be dead and gone, and Nashville will make sure they never come back thanks to executives making decisions to put looks and sell-ability over the actual music.

If there wasn't so much press telling how dumb they think Jessica is, there would be no need to talk bad about someone with obvious talent, pursuing a genre that LeAnn obviously feels could probably threaten her fame if Jessica does succeed. I'm no country fan, but if even LeAnn's name was more out there at one point, not so much now.

So much press??? Give me a break...Jessica herself plays up the whole image!!! More of my impressions comes not from what the press says, but seeing her act stupid or selling sex in all these commercials! If you are bothered by having that image of yourself out there and she clearly is from interviews she has done, then quit taking the jobs that pay you to be a stupid slut! It doesn't seem as though she has any talent beyond flashing her body and acting stupid because that is all she ever does with herself!

Honestly when I heard that Jessica was making a country CD I was kind of worried, but after i heard it i was in complete shock because it was really really good.... And for LeAnne I dont think she should be saying or laughing about anything because she hasn't been in the spot light all that much.... Jessica has and will be around for a long time... thats all i need to say

first of all jessica is prob lip singing on the cd.. and if anyone knows anything about leann, she has been out there....and everyone needs to remember leann has been in the SPOTLIGHT since she was 13, so i think she deserves a lil break from it...

let me tell you LeAnn Rimes is all that, and she is always in the spotlight. Jessica simpson cannot hold a candle to her. Plus, I am a country music fan and trust me Jessica really wil not be the next Dolly Parton. Her singing sounds strained and its just like shes singing a pop song. She should just stick to pop or whatever genre she was in before. She sucks. The whole point of country music is to really sing and sing music that has something to it. She SUCKS

I totaly agree. I wish people would just leave Jessica alone. They are only very jealous of her success and beauty and a beautiful heart. Do something with your own life and leave her alone.

I like Jessica's new country CD. I think she did a really good job of it. I just think she does better in the recording studio than live on stage. She looks stupid out there doing the jerky moves she does and trying to be all sexy when she sangs. It is so fake and very annoying. I can't stand to watch her doing any live performance but her videos are pretty good. She has let the bimbo sex kitten image go to her head and for her to be successful in country music I think she needs to do a complete image overhaul. Dolly is classy cheap (she says so herself) Jessica is just being trampy. As far as LeAnn, she is entitled to her opinion. Take it with a grain of salt.
