Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl Getting His Own Alley

Sorry, Lou Reed. Looks like Dave Grohl will be the next rock star to be honored with his very own street. Granted, Warren, Ohio -- the Foo Fighters frontman's birthplace -- is no New York , but it's a nice tribute just the same.

David Grohl Alley will be the name of a Warren street currently known as Market Alley, thanks to the unanimous passing of a resolution at a Warren City Council meeting last month. According to a report in the local Tribune Chronicle newspaper, the impetus for renaming the street came from Warren Police Sgt. Joe O'Grady and an area DJ named Fast Freddie.

Grohl -- who lived in the area until a young age and still has family in the area -- is expected to be invited to the dedication ceremony for the renamed lane, but details about when the event might take place are not yet available.
