Amy Winehouse Working With Ronson on New Song

Recent headlines would suggest that Amy Winehouse's focus is on anything but music. Producer Mark Ronson, however, maintains that's not entirely the case as he and Winehouse have teamed for an upcoming Quincy Jones album. "[Quincy] is doing a tribute record, and he has people covering songs from his catalogue -- whether he produced them or wrote them," Ronson tells Spinner at the opening of Shin, the Korean BBQ resturant in L.A. he is an investor in, along with the Strokes' Julian Casablancas and actor Danny Masterson. "[Amy and I] are working on a version of 'You Don't Own Me,' by Lesley Gore. We'll see how that comes out."

Ronson understands that after all of the media scrutiny Winehosue has been under for the past year, this track will be heavily looked upon. Yet, he himself isn't letting expectation get in the way. "It is really nice when you do something because you have a musical bond,'" he says. "But if you have a lot of success with a certain thing, there always are gonna be expectations. But you try and recapture what you had when you were first in that room. As long as you make something genuine, you hope that people like it. If they don't, that's just the deal."

Here's hoping.
