Dave Grohl Jabs at Vice Presidential Nominees

The Foo Fighters took over downtown L.A. Thursday night, playing an hour-plus outdoor set against the L.A. skyline, to celebrate the launch of the video game 'Fallout 3,' and "the open bar," as frontman Dave Grohl said. While the band delivered a raucous tour through their greatest hits before a crowd that included Perry Farrell (who Grohl dedicated 'Stacked Dead Actors' to) and Emile Hirsch, among many others, Grohl couldn't resist getting a little political near the end of the set.

After a long speech in which he talked about office parties and his own lack of career jobs, he congratulated the VIP attendees, saying, "You get to drink free booze and play f---ing video games. One day you could be vice president." While he didn't say which VP candidate he was referring to, given his recent anger with Republican candidate John McCain over the use of 'My Hero' at rallies, you betcha we can guess who he was talking about.
