On This Date in 1990: Three members of 2 Live Crew are acquitted of obscenity charges in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The Miami rap group was charged following a show in Hollywood, Fla., after a judge ruled their album 'As Nasty as They Wanna Be' obscene.The Almanac Advises for October 20: "A proven method for handling potty-mouthed children is to ignore them when they use a dirty word. Punishing them or making a big deal of their swearing will just serve to give them the attention they desire."
