If she keeps on, she will end up dead, just like my oldest daughter did in May of this year. She got so hung up on drugs and so far out there no one could help her. I found her hanging in her closet the day before Mother's Day.
I'm so sick of hearing about this stupid bitch ! She should just OD and die and put herself out of my misery !
As I work in the field of addiction and have for several years I have come across so many people like her and.I realize that it is not just up to her,she needs the help of real friends and her family. The Industry is very dangerous to not only new artists but to all, she needs Long term care and not only for substance abuse but she needs mental health care also. For her fellow artists to say some of the mean things that they did tells you that the music industry is really a mess.
I have read through the comments mades by people of varying degrees of association with Ms. Winehouse and it seems to me that other than her parents no one is in tune with the simple fact that she is in pain. No one could really deal with international success, a failing marriage and an addiction to drugs in the global spotlight without showing their frailty. I'm not sure why people seem to think that if you a singer , actor , or dancer that you are still a human being and posess no super natural powers. Fame is is not a shield for real life.
She's a great and talented artist. People waste their time worrying about her rather than enjoying her talent. She's an adult and makes her own choices.
What are you waiting on DAD?? Get off your high horse and grab the bull by the horns and save your daughters life before she is found in a gutter somewhere with a needle in her arm or crack stem in her hand!!!!!
commit the bitch
There's not much anyone can do when drugs step in to take over a life. If a person doesn't give it up it is either an early death or a slow deterioration.
I'd like to see someone get her declared incompetent and take over power of attorney, then get this girl into rehab (YES, YES, YES, child!) and her father is right, six weeks won't do it. I am thinking six MONTHS at LEAST. Then another year of transitional living. Classes for life skills, how to balance a bankbook, how to eat healthy, loads of psycho-therapy, and coping skills. She is too young to be this far gone in every aspect of the word. Good luck, Amy.
She has/had so much talent. It saddens me to see her destroying herself. Her parents need to be strong enough to go to court and have her declared incompetent so they will have the authority to have her committed for some type of treatment. Without that permission, they have no right to force anything on her...she is an adult.....no matter how much they want to help her. I hope that she will get some help, heal, and bring back the talent (hopefully) still hidden within.
