"I have never felt so much pain in my life. It was tough for me to even get out of bed, and I had days when I couldn't walk." --Eminem

In his new memoir, the rapper explains his debilitating depression following the death of friend and fellow rapper Proof, in 2006.

I find it really hard to feel sorry for this man and his bout of depression when he usually comes of as such a jerk.

Trash him all you want, but when I look at this kid's face, when I look at his eyes, I see genuine pain there. So you don't like his lifestyle or the fact that he raps about the ugliness in life, maybe we wouldn't feel sorry for you about the uglies you've committed either. But if you have that look on your face, that real look of grief and pain, I would feel sorry for you whether I liked you and your lifestyle or not.

To think that people still get riled up over rap music and rappers in this day and age is a testament to:
A) how stupid people still are
or
B) How much hate rap.

Rap doesn't incite violence, only the people who take the lyrics and song too seriously do. These guy's jobs are to entertain us, and when you see rap and other forms of music as just entertainment, everything should be ok. And MaryMRevis, I want you to go tell the family of Proof to stop the whining, if you have the stomach. The internet is a safe haven for dumb fucks everywhere.

who the hell are you people to judge anybody, it's a facade put up to entertain, anyone that knows the difference between reality and fiction can undertsand that, he doesn't insight violence. Violence was here before Eminem and it will be here after, so please get off your high horses and respect that he lost someone close to him.

Thug? The first people he "called out" were his mother, his wife, Moby and a dog puppet. Yeah, he's got real street cred.

It's sad to see talent wasted on people who have no morals. While I am compassionate to hearing about the depression that follows, when someone looses a loved one or friend, I DO NOT HAVE COMPASSION for people who live a "thug" life and then bemoans it when someone else (who also lives that life like Proof did) dies.

Tupac and Biggie were talents but ASSES because they let a damn feud and the "thug" life take them. ope...sorry I don't shed a tear for Eminem or ANYONE else who puts themselves in that life. If you live by the sword..you die by it. And when it happens...don't whine about it.

Step off MARSHALL and put that talent you have into something positive..like raising your sweet daughter and singing to HER

Thug is right. This man incites violence toward others.
