CSS Hock Halloween Ideas

Halloween is one week away, but if you're stuck for a costume idea, look no further than the archive of Brazil's CSS.

"LoveFoxx dressed up as a fried egg," CSS guitarist Luiza Sa tells Spinner of one her singer's many past Halloween costumes. "She made her face yellow and she did something white around it and she dressed all white. I dressed up as a Native Indian, but no one else [in the band] dressed up. They all did f----ed up makeup."

CSS will spend this Halloween on tour in Europe, but are heading back in December for more U.S. dates in support of their summer-released second album, 'Donkey.' The tour will once again reunite them with colorful Kansas City ensemble Ssion, who supported CSS' September U.S. tour.

"They're so awesome," Sa raves. "It's so good to be around really amazing, talented people because it rubs off. It's so inspiring. It's so much better than being with a band that you don't really connect [with]."

And speaking of bands they connected with, Sa said CSS finally met their heroes, the Breeders, whose song 'Cannonball' they recently covered. "Finally! And you know what? Kelly [Deal] gave me her Wellies at Bestival," Sa laughs. "She was like 'You can keep them!' They were really cool. We were really nervous around them. We were like 'Oh my god!' Like teenagers. And they were so sweet."

Sa revealed CSS also met former L7 founding member, Donita Sparks.

"Donita was hanging out with us," Sa enthuses. "It's just so cool to be hanging out with her. I grew up looking up to these people."
