On This Date in 1972: 'Burning Love,' by Elvis Presley, reaches its peak position of No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart. Blocking the song from the top spot is 'My Ding-A-Ling,' by Chuck Berry.The Almanac Advises for October 28: "If a male feels an uncomfortable or painful sensation in his genital area, this may be a symptom of a sexually transmitted disease, such as syphilis or gonorrhea."
