Peter Frampton is fired up over the repeated theft of Barack Obama yard signs on his suburban Cincinnati property. The rocker blasted the culprits for "breaking the law" because his presidential pick "bugs them so much.""They are frustrating my attempt to use my First Amendment right to speech, and political speech is supposedly the most protected," Frampton told the Cincinnati Enquirer this week.
The singer's first sign lasted for three days before being stolen. A second sign lasted a week. "I put up some more signs, and they are still there today, but I don't hold out much hope," Frampton said. As the interview was being conducted, a third sign disappeared.

Frampton was born in England, but decided to become a U.S. citizen following the Sept. 11 terror attacks. "The reason I became a citizen is because I wanted to be able to vote and be part of being an American," he said. But, Frampton said the thefts are actually helping the Obama campaign, not hurting it.
"The more they steal my signs, the more I have to donate to my candidate to get more signs," he said. "There is an anti-productive thing to their cause."
He's installed a video surveillance camera so he can catch the sign snatcher(s).

Ohhh Peter!! Why are you even living there in the first place? I grew up in Cincinnati (I heard you for the 1st time during our morning homeroom music AND I saw you live there) and I got the hell out at age 18 and hoofed it to California - THE best decision I've made in my life. People around this country know that the most vile, conservative, corrupt, fat-cat republicans rule the roost there and the political climate is full of hatred, violent corruption and disdain for "other people not like themselves." Yes, this is the armpit of the country where they still cry over their guns and will kill you if you look at them the wrong way. It's full of skinheads, rednecks, homophobic gay people who hate themselves, psychotic neighbors, utterly dumb children and utterly confused individuals, many of whom have likely had sex with a sibling or cousin. While it's beautiful there Spring through Fall, and the city has some great spots (Mt.Adams is very cool) give Pittsburg a try. It shares the same beauty, it has 3 rivers, hills everywhere and the same season changes but you may find the political climate more to your liking. Really, I hope you can get out of Cincinnati and somewhere sane. I wouldn't send my best friends there and the best friends I had while growing up (during the Big Red Machine!!!) thankfully got hip to all of this and left Dodge years ago, just when I did. It's a hell-hole!!* *-The Chili, of course, is outstanding....but that's no reason to stay.

He's not reading your post, idiot. He's also already made something of himself...no reason to leave or get out....seek help.

hope you're getting therapy in cali, sounds like you need it.
as far as the signs, there are jerks on both sides. this will become more apparent after obama wins.

Mr. Pacific I could not have wrote what you said better. Unlike the masses here a few of us common folks do think for ourselves and don't give a hoot what our wealthy leaders decide to portray themselves as. I love Cincinnati and I am going to stay, you said it yourself there is nowhere else that the 4 seasons of the year stand out better.

It sounds like you belong in Cincinnati.

i also grew up in cincinnati and now reside in oregon. i am happier here than there because i am the "redneck" country boy who helped on the pig farm so that you could have your kahns pork products. well that aside i do believe firmly in my, and our, second amendent right to protect myself from predujice hate mongers such as yourself. maybe you should find away to forgive truly instead of lying to everyone here, including yourself. by the way stay in cali please!!

I'm wondering if you were choking on granola while blogging. I am from Cincinnati, but went to high school for a short time in California. I chose to move back to Cincinnati. I have never screwed a family member, I am not a redneck, or a homo phobe, my children are extremly bright happy people. When you surround yourself with shit, guess what, you smell like shit....I"ve lived all over and guess what else, our country has several armpits, we in cincinnati hope you stay in yours.....

You know what? I'm behind you 100%. I was born and raised in Dayton, and lived in Cincinnati and Columbus. I absolutely agree, it was nice to move away from that stagnant, dying state. I moved to Cali in '99 and while I am glad I have the values I learned (as well as the cold weather resistance...SoCal people are p*ssies when it comes to the cold)I am also glad to be away from the small-minded, the racist, and the xenophobic that do tend to permeate the state. Only in Columbus (worthington, etc.,) did I find some measure of open-mindedness. Cincinnati is too close to Kentucky for that and Dayton is just a desolate sh*thole, like Springfield or Moraine.
And don't worry haters...I'll GLADLY stay in L.A.!

No "Marcy", it's called experience and sound judgment.

pacific, I am from New York, and have never been to Ohio. However, I think your lambasting of your own home city shows that although you have moved to a more liberal and accepting local hasn't taught you anything. If you enjoy the openmindedness of your "new" home-don't you feel small and closed-minded attacking an entire city just to make yourself feel superior? To the people of cincinnati-Im sure you are just as nice as the rest of us, so dont take offence- be glad one of the "utterly dumb children" has flown the coop and won't be counted as one of your number anymore. I hope to visit soon.Shame on you, neuvo-pacific. ; p

I think you have no idea what you're talking about. Who are you to say that republicas judge when you're the one that was bashing republicans in that comment of yours. I'm a republican and I'm not bashing you or Obama. I am respecting what both of you are saying and am open to your ideas. You're an idiotic person if you believe that all republicans are within the stereotype that you've given. Think again, and stop being so hypocritical. On that note, I think people who work hard for their money deserve to keep it and not give it away to others who aren't working to simply "spread the wealth."

THANK GOD you moved to California. The only closed minded person I saw in that drivel was you. That was the most hateful label calling pile or crap I have read in a long time. Cincinnati has one of the best Medical and Nursing schools in the country and IF YOU HAPPEN to have a STROKE, one of the THREE recognized stroke scores that ANY EMT in American was researched and published here. We are on the forefront of stroke research. PLEASE, DO NOT COME BACK. WE DO NOT want you!

I RAISED MY CHILDREN IN CINCINNATI, WE ALL STILL LIVE HERE. WE ARE ALL GLAD YOU " HOOFED " IT TO THE WEST COAST. IF ALL NARROW MINDED PEOPLE WOULD DO THAT, WE WOULD ALL BE BETTER OFF !

Why should he have to leave his home??? Fuck these Republicans they may think they own the U.S. but they dont!!!
mustang630at 10-30-2008
Hey genius, 1. the person you were making a comment on is not a Republican, and 2. you are going to find out very soon who owns you when the Dems have absolute power again. I'll give you a hint: you work hard and someone else who doesn't work gets half of your money.
Coming soon; "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss" (to quote the poet Daltry).

The republicans have so many anti-obama slogans and malinprops with his name that it is hilarious. They focus on gimmicks like Joe the plumber who they try to tout as the average American, all the while his income is well within the top 10 percent of average american households and he isn't even a licensed plumber. Republicans claim he is a socialist and a "closet" muslim with absolutely no proof. They just spout crap and make it up as they go along. Certainly, this happens on both sides, but I honestly believe that Obama has been sticking to issues of substance wheras McCain has not. Furthermore, comically even, McCain supporters continue to state that Obama is raising taxes and stealing from the paychecks of the middle class. I love the clip of Biden being interviewed on T.V. as he is being asked about Obama being a socialist and he replies "Are you serious... Is this a joke?" It just goes to show that they have not read nor have listened to a single thing about his proposals for change. The man wants to CUT taxes for the middle class, he wants to "spread the wealth" by implementing higher income taxes on those who make $250,000 a year. I'm sorry, but I am one of those "crazy" liberals that believe if someone is making hundreds of millions of dollars a year, then they are: A. making way more money than they know what to do with, B. Are making that ridiculous amount of money at the expense of others, C. Can afford to part with a percentage of that income, which will still leave them filthy rich and will have put money towards better schools, American infrastructure and thousands upon thousands of social programs. Listen, when you have a nation in which the top 2 percent welathiest individuals make more than the bottom 80 percent of Americans, something is wrong. Finally, in no way shape or form is there any consistency between Obama's plan and the "hint" provided by mustang630. Yet another failed attempt to spin truth into garbage. It is not a coincedence that an overwhelming majority of union's are supporting Obama. I think that there are an incredible amount of racist's that are grasping at straws to find reasons to dissent against the democratic nominee without just coming out and saying "I ain't votin' for no darkee". Indeed, if that is all you have, then you are one misguided and ignorant individual. Finally, to close this rant I wish to clarify that by no way am I generalizing the previous comments to all McCain supporters, but rather summarizing a large percentage of what I have witnessed the past few months.
