I'll be impressed when the CEO's of our largest corporations and the doctors at Johns Hopkins and the professors at the Ivy League schools start sporting Obama gear. Celebrities, by nature, don't have a whole lot going on upstairs.

Other countries must be envious of our very young country that has the true, real life definition of democracy. This day is one of the proudest experiences for me as a Caucasian male, honorably discharged veteran; as an American with pride! Truly God has blessed us this beautiful, wonderful day. Hundreds of thousands who have gathered for Obama's Inauguration in Washington are waving the American flag, and the American flag is waving at my home.

January 20 2009 at 11:25 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWhile I voted for President-Elect Obama and am very excited to watch all of the inaugural events, I do NOT think that he is a "celebrity" or "the savior". He is a man that we as American citizens voted to be President. Will he be perfect? No. Will he solve all of the problems we have gotten ourselves into? No. But has he brough hope? You bet he has. I have never seen as much excitement over a new President or a new promise for a better day tomorrow. He is the first African-American to be voted in as President and that in itself is something to be proud of as Americans but I wouldn't care if he were purple. For all those people who "hate" him because he is black, shame on you. And if you are using his race as your reason for not supporting him (although he is half white), I don't understand how you can call yourself a proud American. Maybe you'd like to move to another country. He is the THE BEST man for the job and I'm so excited that this country seems to have been reclaimed. God bless President Barack Obama and God bless the United States of America.

January 20 2009 at 10:48 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI like Obama...But this MTV approach as seriously turned me off. Most...no...all of the celebs in this gallery are idiots. It's like you think we've gained something. But in actuality it went from conservative idiots to liberal idiots. Why don't these celebs make themselves usefull and contribute to the economy by giving us some of that money back.

January 20 2009 at 12:59 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyAs though Madonna wasn't ugly enough she is now decorating her bony frame with the ridiculous Obama shirt. The rest of the riff raff like P Diddy, and numerous other mentally and talent challenged celebrities only show the rest of us patriots that they are the most illiterate, venal, un-Christian, uncaring, self absorbed cretans on the face of the earth supporting this inept, inexperienced, un-American, un-Christian idiot who, unfortunately, becomes the president of the United States today, a day that will live in infamy.
January 20 2009 at 10:05 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI call for each of these celebrities using their influence to advance a political cause to exhibit their knowledge on prevelant political issues. I would make the assumption that 60% or more could not hold an intelligent conversation on the current political issues. In that case, they have no business using their influence (that of which derives from trivial means) to advance a cause, whether that cause be deemed good or bad. Talking heads, I tell you.
January 20 2009 at 9:46 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyObama is the first ARAB-AMERICAN president.
January 20 2009 at 8:55 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replyno matter how many times it's said, he is not black. he is biracial. can't change that. i wish him the best.
