Aerosmith's Joe Perry Gets Behind McCain
- Posted on Nov 1st 2008 3:00PM by John D. Luerssen
Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry has come out in support of Republican presidential candidate John McCain. It marks the first time the guitarist has publicly endorsed a presidential candidate."We pretty much stay out of it," Perry tells the Boston Herald. "But seeing so many people come out for Obama, I just felt like 'What the hell. I might as well raise my hand for this side.'"
Perry cites national security and economic concerns as his reason to throw his support toward the Arizona Senator.
"I've been a hard-core Republican my whole life," Perry says. "My mother and father drilled into me from the very start that if you work hard and be positive, you'll get what you're working for."
And although McCain is trailing in the polls, the guitarist says, "I think that he's got a chance."

I've always enjoyed Joe's guitar style. I have even more respect for him now in that it takes guts to stand up as a Conservative in the entertainment field.
Thanks Joe.
way to to go joe !!!!

They just don't know when to put the pipe down, like when their trying to form a coherent thought on an internet blog! I know...I know druggy - you've forgiven him!
November 04 2008 at 9:01 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyAlot of you are ragging on Perry and you say "Who cares about his opinion?" Well...guess what I don't care about your stupid opinion either! I personally (and I don't care if you care) am voting for a man who is protecting small businesses (who are labeled rich?) that make $200,000 but still have to pay their employees! They are not rich- they are providing the middle class with jobs! If we tax the so called rich, we are only hurting ourselves.
November 04 2008 at 8:52 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWhy are all of you neocons trying to associate Barrack to all these "bad people" when your boy "W" family has been in the oil business with the Bin Ladens for years? Its absolutely pure stupidity.
Do yourselves a favor an admit that you are racists and call it what it is. You don't like the idea of a non old white man running the show or ruining it like they have for the last 8 years. If association is criminal than how in GODS name to we elect not one but two Bush's?
SJRBANS....YOU SOUND LIKE A DISGRUNTED RETIRED JUNKY THAT HAS TO BACKLASH ON EVERYONE BUT YOURSELF....PLEASE LOOK IN THE MIRROR AND SEE HOW PERFECT YOU ARE...THROW THE FIRST STONE SO THE MIRROR BREAKS ONCE YOU REALIZE YOU ARE HUMAN AND MAKE ERRORS....WE ALL DO SJRBANS, AND IF WE ALL TALK MORE POSITIVELY ABOUT EVERYONE, WOULD NOT THIS BE A BETTER WORLD...CHANGE, YOU ARE VOTING FOR CHANGE BUT I SEE NO CHANGE WITHIN SIDE YOU AND THATS WHERE CHANGE MUST START...PROJECT POSITIVE CHANGE AND THEN YOU WILL BE FOLLOWED BUT NOT BY NEGATIVE COMMENTS. LOVE ONE ANOTHER AND CHANGE WILL HAPPEN
November 04 2008 at 8:18 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyHere is a thought for you, Obama's grandmother admits that he was born in Kenya and 2 days before the election she dies. I know she was sick but how convenient is that for him. We now have nobody to support her claim that would make him ineligible for office. Just a thought. Change now Obama that is some change I can live without.
